Rory and Lefty to go head-to-head on the first morning of the Ryder Cup

The world number one has been paired with Sergio Garcia while Mickelson resumes his partnership with Keegan Bradley.

AFTER HIS DIG at Rory McIlroy on Wednesday, Phil Mickelson will have to let his golf do the talking tomorrow as he and Keegan Bradley face the world number one and Sergio Garcia in the final match of the morning fourballs.

The US pair won the three matches they played together in 2012, including a fourball victory over McIlroy and Graeme McDowell.

There is no place for McDowell in Friday morning’s line-up which kicks off with Justin Rose and Henrick Stenson facing Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson.

Simpson and Watson won both their fourballs together in 2012, beating Rose (paired with Francesco Molinari) in one of them. The did lose their foursomes match with Rose and Ian Poulter though.

Mr. Ryder Cup will hope to continue his impressive record when he and Steven Gallagher take on Jordan Speith and Patrick Reed in a match that features three rookies.

The other match out of the course will see yet another rookie, Jimmy Walker, paired with Rickie Fowler as they take on Martin Kaymer and Thomas Bjorn.
